Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organised a programme in celebration of World Pharmacists Day 2026 under the theme “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures.” The event brought together leaders from academia, the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory bodies to recognise pharmacists’ contribution to healthcare and discuss the future of the profession in Bangladesh.
Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, Chairman of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited, attended the programme as a Keynote Speaker. He shared his perspectives on the evolving pharmacy profession and strengthening pharmacy education and practice in Bangladesh. His participation contributed to the dialogue on preparing pharmacists to meet future healthcare needs.


Discussions at the programme focused on pharmacy education, professional practice and the importance of collaboration among academic institutions, industry and regulatory stakeholders. The event provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on advancing the profession and supporting pharmacists in their service to society.
The celebration also recognised the dedication of pharmacists and their essential role across the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. By bringing together stakeholders from different areas of the profession, IUB created a meaningful platform for shared learning and constructive dialogue.
