The Department of Pharmacy, East West University, organised a seminar titled “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures in Bangladesh” in celebration of World Pharmacists Day 2026. The programme brought together academics, professionals and future pharmacists to discuss the profession’s contribution to healthcare and its continued development in Bangladesh.

Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, Chairman of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited, attended the seminar as a Keynote Speaker. In his address, he highlighted pharmacists’ essential role in building a stronger, safer and more patient-focused healthcare system.

The seminar provided an opportunity to engage with academics, pharmacy professionals and students on ways to further strengthen the profession in Bangladesh. The exchange of perspectives encouraged dialogue on how pharmacists can contribute to meeting healthcare needs and improving patient care.
